Johnny Mattar’s career in the hospitality industry began more than 20 years ago. Previously, he was the Director of Catering at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai where he was instrumental in the successful opening of the hotel. Johnny planned and organized over 50 high-profile events such as Dubai Air Show, Global GMs Hyatt Conference, Royal Weddings, and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Conference. His more recent roles include Operations Manager for Byblos Hospitality Dubai where he directed and managed the company’s events, catering, as well as six operational outlets.
Johnny is a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Beirut with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He is excited to apply his passion for event planning to his new position as a Convention Services Manager.
