Setsuko Ono’s art has graced the United States, Cuba, and Japan, and her sculptures remain permanently installed in Baltimore, Havana, and Tokyo. In addition to Good News! Earth is Dancing, Ono has five other pieces located in the Baltimore area.

Born in Tokyo, Setsuko Ono grew up between Japan, Europe, and the United States. She received her formal art education from Corcoran School of Art and Design in Washington D.C. Specializing in sculpting steel, Ono uses this medium to “... complement the environment, celebrate resilience, and delight in the vitality of life by depicting expressive moments of action.”
