Reclining Connected Forms, 1969

This piece is no longer on display at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Officially titled Reclining Connected Forms and known as “Conception”; this piece is a cast bronze sculpture no longer shown in the Baltimore Convention Center as it was sold at Sotheby's and made its way to showing in Paris in 1990. The work was originally given to MICA – the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1980.


Born in England, Moore was active during the twentieth century and created abstract sculptures depicting symbolic works of the post-war modernism era. He is credited with initiating the British Sculptural Renaissance and his renowned works have enriched over 34 countries.
