The BCC Announces Industry Honors for Krystine St. Michael Bussiere

Baltimore, MD, July 9, 2024 – The Baltimore Convention Center is proud to announce significant achievements by our distinguished team member, Krystine St. Michael Bussiere, Director of Sales, Services, and Marketing. Krystine has been honored with the prestigious CMP Fellow designation and has also received her CVP designation.

Krystine Named CMP Fellow and Earns Her CVP Designation

The CMP Fellows Program is a distinguished honor that celebrates Certified Meeting Professionals (CMPs) and Emeritus who have demonstrated dedication to excellence, experience, and education within the Global Business Events Industry. The designation of CMP Fellow underscores Krystine's commitment and service to the profession. To obtain this title Krystine has to be a tenured CMP and had to complete a robust application highlighting achievements as well as her contributions within the hospitality industry including:

  • Holding various roles in HR, planning, operations, and sales, and taking on increasing leadership responsibilities at the BCC.
  • Leading the Center’s COVID re-booking strategy and developing all virtual booking documents, including a virtual tour platform, during her tenure.
  • Achieving award-winning sales performance as part of the national sales team in Hartford, Connecticut.
  • Serving as President of the local MD chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association for over five years and presenting at PCMA and IAVM conferences.
Krystine also recently passed her CVP exam, earning the prestigious Certified Venue Professional (CVP) designation from the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), from which she also graduated the IAVM Venue Management School.The CVP designation signifies that an individual is a capable professional, committed to the industry, and dedicated to continued professional growth and development. Venue professionals who earn the CVP designation are recognized, both inside and outside the industry.

Her extensive experience in leading her departments and driving the Baltimore Convention Center's economic impact through sales make her an exemplary recipient of both titles. She continues to inspire her peers and contribute to the growth and excellence of the meetings and events sector.
